Methodology

GEWI's aim is to advance your cause. Besides interdisciplinary understanding of the industry, this requires a critical long-term approach, focus on targets and analytical skills. After we have assessed your starting position, we will ask a number of critical questions, some of them unexpected. GEWI develops directly applicable, tailored solutions. We select the best instruments to suit the needs of each individual project - we do not have a one-size-fits-all approach.

For our analyses we draw on such data sources as technical and economic trade journals, process and trend databases, trade publications, patents etc. From this mass of information, it is our task to filter out the salient parts, organise the details and draw specific conclusions relevant to your project. Where this is necessary for the success of the project, we will also interview others well versed in the scientific and economic aspects of the market.

When it comes to clarifying strategic and other complex issues within the company, we make use of scenario techniques, SWOT analyses, portfolio techniques, process analyses and profit and risk simulations.

The result is clearly understood action recommendations that can be put into practice immediately and are not just impressive images and ideas on paper. We accompany you as you implement these steps. This is why we do not see ourselves as being simply "advisors", we are your specialist service provider for you to contact as an external staff section that sees eye-to-eye with you. All the standards you expect your internal departments to meet, you may also expect us to fulfil.
